Maurizio Arrivabene was born in Brescia, Italy on 7 March 1957.
After working in a marketing and promotional environment in his native Italy and abroad, he joined Philip Morris, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he filled various positions, working his way up to become Vice President of Marlboro Global Communication & Promotions for Philip Morris International in 2007. Then in 2011 he took on the role of Vice President Consumer Channel Strategy and Event Marketing.
In addition to his role at Philip Morris, since 2012 he has been an independent board member of Juventus FC SpA. From 2011 to 2012 he was a member of the Sport Business Academy (SDA Bocconi School of Management and RCS Sport), on the Program Advisory Team. Since 2010 he has sat on the F1 Commission, representing all the sponsors in Formula 1.
As of 24th November 2014, Arrivabene is in charge as Gestione Sportiva Managing Director & Team Principal at Scuderia Ferrari.
