FDA – Stroll moves into series lead in Imola

Maranello, 29 June – One win and a second place was the outcome of today’s racing for Lance Stroll, who thus consolidates his lead in the Italian Formula 4 Championship. At the end of the second round, which ended today at the Imola circuit, the 15 year old Canadian from the Ferrari Driver Academy, is on 119 points, 51 clear of second placed Andrea Russo.

At the start of Race 2, Stroll went from tenth to eighth and on the following lap he went all the way to fourth. On the final lap, making the most of a collision between his team-mate Brandon Maisano and Russo, Stroll took second which he maintained to the flag. The Prema Power Team driver had a steadier time of it in the final race, starting from pole and comfortably keeping the lead throughout the 30 minute race.

The next round of the championship takes place on the Mugello circuit over the weekend of 13 July.
