FDA – Stroll on pole in Adria

Maranello, 7 June –Not only did Lance Stroll secure his first ever pole position, he is also the first ever driver to take pole in the new Italian Formula 4 series, in its first round of the year here at the Adria circuit. The 15 year old Ferrari Driver Academy student was quickest in qualifying which decides the grids for Race 1 and Race 3, with times of 1.15.348 and 1.15.376. The grid for Race 2 is set by inverting the positions of the top ten finishers in Race 1.

“I am really happy with this debut,” commented the young Prema Power Team driver after the sessions. “It exceeded my expectations going into today and I really wasn’t expecting to take two poles. I had a good feeling with the car and everything went perfectly. Now I face a very tough day with no less than three races on the programme, but starting twice from pole means I can aim for good results.”
