Lance Stroll

FDA – Stroll starts from pole

Maranello, 2 August – Lance Stroll took just one flying lap to go fastest in today’s qualifying at Magione, for the fourth round of the Italian Formula 4 Championship. The Canadian Ferrari Driver Academy student will start the first race from pole, as the only man to get under the 1 minute 9 seconds barrier with a 1.08.933. He was second fastest in the session to decide the grid for Race 3, when times were slower because the yellow flags were out. Pole went to his Prema Powerteam team-mate Brandon Maisano (1.09.083.) In both sessions, Lance took the five points that go with pole, as Maisano is ineligible for points in this series. Tomorrow, the Umbrian track sees a very busy day with no less than three races on the cards, the second one featuring a grid made from reversing the top ten in the finishing order of Race 1.
