Maranello, 22 January –The Florida Winter Series gets underway today. It’s an initiative aimed at young professional racing drivers who want to be as well prepared as possible for the 2014 season. Today, they will take to the track, at the Homestead circuit, 55 kilometres from Miami, for a combined test session prior to the four rounds on the calendar. They will benefit from the support of Ferrari Driver Academy personnel. During the test, which features a morning and afternoon session, the eleven drivers will have a first chance to get to grips with the car and work with a team of highly qualified engineers and mechanics who will be on hand throughout the championship.The day’s key task will be work on an initial set-up of the cars, the Tatuus FA10B, and to prepare for the first races, which take place at Sebring from 20 to 27 January. This test won’t be the only visit to Homestead, as the final two rounds take place here on two different track layouts, on 12-14 February and 17-19 February.
