Florida Winter Series – Mission accomplished

Florida Winter Series – Mission accomplished

Maranello, 20 February – Competitors in the Florida Winter Series will find it hard going home after such a special experience. Yesterday, at the Homestead circuit, they took part in the final two races of the championship. Exactly a month after it got underway in Miami, this amazing pre-season training adventure has come to an end for the eleven promising young racers who took part. In Race 2 yesterday, Nicholas Latifi, who won the opening round, was victorious once again, brining his tally of wins to four in this series.

Behind the Canadian came British driver Edward Jones and the Dutchman Dennis Van de Laar, while in Race 3, another Dutchman, Max Verstappen won, ahead of Latifi and Jones. In keeping with American school tradition, there was a big end of series party in Homestead: with the Tatuus FA10B cars garaged and all the equipment put away, the drivers, engineers and mechanics had a get together to celebrate the success of this first edition of this series, which will no doubt return again next year.
