Hockenheim, 1 September 2013 – An exciting day for the 6 guests, members of the Scuderia Ferrari, who participated on the most important day of the Ferrari Racing Days in Hockenheim.
In the morning the fans’ adventure started with a tour of the garage, where they also had the opportunity to have a look inside the Scuderia Ferrari’s box, to admire the F60 and to meet Marc Gene, the Scuderia’s Formula 1 test driver, in private. Shortly afterwards Marc went onto the German track, which hosts the Formula 1 GP every two years. He drove a couple of laps and excited the fans not only with two pit stops but also with a burnout on the main straight with the Formula 1 single-seater.
Later on our members followed the action on the track from the pitwall, the closest possible position from where to listen to the
Ferrari engine sound. In the afternoon they took a tour of the new vehicle, used as TV compound and control room at the Challenge races. It’s the biggest in Italy and used to broadcast the races of the single-marque’s European series all over the world.
The most exciting moment came in the late afternoon, when the guests had the opportunity to get on board of a 458 Italia driven by driving instructor Thomas Kemenater for a hot lap: after their laps the fans were enthusiastic about this truly unique experience, which strengthened the already strong passion for the Ferrari family.
