Born on 20 May 1996 at Cosenza, Italy, Antonio began his career in karts, when he was only four years old and in 2007 he took his first international win in the 60mini class. In 2009, the promising driver moved up to KF3 where he finished third in the Italian championship, improving the following year when he finished second overall in the series.
At the end of 2011, Antonio won the Supercorso prize organised by the CSAI in collaboration with the FDA, which included some tests in a Formula Abarth car. Antonio secured excellent results in 2012, when he made his debut in KF2, finishing third in the WSK Euroseries and the progress he demonstrated in the tests at the wheel of a Formula Abarth were enough for the Italian youngster to officially become part of the Ferrari Driver Academy. In 2013, Fuoco was crowned champion in the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps and this year, he will contest the FIA Formula 3 championship with the Prema team.
