Luca Marmorini has been Head of Engines and Electronics at the Scuderia since October 2009. Born in Arezzo on 17 June 1961 Luca graduated in Engineering at the Pisa University in 1986, where he received his Doctor’s degree four years later, while also working at the Massachussets Institute of Technology.
In the same year he started working at the Scuderia’s engine department, later on as the Head of the research and innovation division.
At the end of 1999 he started collaborating with Toyota Motorsport within the Formula 1 project.
After ten years in Germany Luca was called by Ferrari to cover his current position, taking over from Gilles Simon. He is married to Claudia with two children (Simone and Sofia). Luca lives in Modena.
