Hungarian Grand Prix - Seb on the podium, Charles fourth

4 Aug 2019

Scuderia Ferrari notched up its eleventh podium of the season thanks to Sebastian Vettel, who passed team-mate Charles Leclerc in the closing stages of the race to secure third place.

Strategy. The team put its drivers on different strategies. Charles, who was running third at first, pitted on lap 28 to switch to Hard tyres. Sebastian stayed out until lap 40 before coming in for Softs. He did a good job of managing these, which allowed him to close on his team-mate and finally overtake him. The World Championship now takes its traditional summer break, the action resuming with the Belgian GP on 1 September.
