Daniil Kvyat was born on 26 April 1994 at Ufa, in Russia. He began competing in karts and, to further his career, his family moved to Rome, Italy. In 2008 he won the Bridgestone Cup at Lonato and the Industrie Parma trophy. The following year he came third in the European KF3 Championship and second in the WSK International Series. He made his single-seater debut came in 2010, in Formula BMW Pacific. That year, Daniil also made his debut in Formula BMW Europe, finishing tenth in the championship. From 2011 to 2012, Daniil completed in Formula Renault 2.0. In 2013, he won the GP3 championship and also took part in the European Formula 3 series, taking one win, 5 poles and 5 podiums. In 2014, he made his Formula 1 debut with Scuderia Toro Rosso, before switching to Red Bull Racing the following year. In 2018 Daniil has been taken on as a test and development driver by Scuderia Ferrari.
